The Online Life Coach Question Of The Day And Perhaps One Of The Most Important Life Coaching Questions Ever
Well I sure do. But it seems to be one of those revolving door types of questions. You go in one way and come out another. What do I mean?
As an online life coach, through observation of myself and my clients, I’ve learned that the truth changes. It changes depending on the perspective you’re looking from. It’s seldom black and white. One day it appears one way and then, with new information, it suddenly looks quite different. Getting used to the moving target of truth certainly has been full of some strange occurrences.
I have been SO wrong but thought I was SO right? I have been humbled, angered, frustrated and totally freaked out over what has been perceived as “THE TRUTH.”
Has this happened to you too?
Now I am not suggesting that there aren’t eternal truths or relative truths. What I am talking about is “my truth.” Better yet – “Your Truth.” That personal sensation of clearly seeing what is. You know, without all the filters, without all the illusions, rationalizations and justifications. Without the BS!
Are you seeing and experiencing life from a heartfelt desire to “be real” as your personal bias?
Why does it even matter? Why care about being “real?”
It seems our culture doesn’t reward or represent truth anymore. Seriously, when was the last time you were presented with information without it being laden with bias? Can that even happen?
There isn’t a newspaper or TV network in the world whose mission is to truthfully report. There is always a personal editorial bias or hidden agenda, slant or twist, whether it is from the owner, writer, or editor. And how about the photographs used to depict the story? Are you aware of how easily a story is changed just by changing the field, angle, or lighting? What’s included or excluded in the photograph?
Is reality ever depicted anymore?
It seems everything is pretend or staged for some type of reaction. Our kids are so over sold on image that they think wearing something specific makes them appear “successful” “rich” or “cool.” This is how they connect.
It’s all fake!
They are so bogged down with appearances that many don’t even know what the word character means. So why not join them? In reality, we all have and still do at some level. It’s easy to get caught up in appearances and the roles that you play.
Can you ever avoid “the dress for success” scenario or “putting your best face forward”? Or convincing someone that you have the best product or service to offer?
What’s important to know is that the more you concern yourself with appearances or the roles you play the more you risk losing sight of who you really are. You get stuck in a spiraling cycle of trying, trying and trying to be more.
Are you caught in a cycle of always trying? Have you discovered that no matter what you do, this trying is never real or lasting? It was never really honest. But yea, it sure felt good for a little while till all the new wore off, the rush was gone.
Then back to the drawing board…down you go again. Do you start all over, with a new search, looking for the next way to make you feel better?
Let me share that it was only when I was willing to be brutally honest with myself did I find freedom. And boy did this change the quality of my life. I am now connected to my gift and passion.
Every day is an exciting unfolding of possibilities. When you are willing to be honest you will lose your need to control and manipulate. Your anxieties will greatly lessen as your faith is restored. When you are no longer caught up in “trying” to make anyone believe anything anymore, you will be free to be YOU.
Come learn how to free yourself – express your true self without inhibition, with loving
tolerance and acceptance.
Come let the truth set you free. Let me assist you with my online life coaching, let me help you find your honest “self”.
Be Ready for Everything,
Shelly
